FishTix

Privacy Policy

Effective 1 October 2026. Draft for legal review before the App Store submission.

What FishTix is

FishTix records commercial salmon deliveries in Alaska and files the resulting fish tickets with the State of Alaska's eLandings system on behalf of the buying processor. A fish ticket is a legal record required by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game (ADF&G). Much of what the app collects exists because that record requires it.

What we collect

Who sees it

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres, hosted in the United States) and synchronised to your device through PowerSync so the app works without a signal. The filing service runs on Railway. All connections are encrypted in transit; sessions on your phone are kept in the device's secure storage.

How long we keep it

Fish tickets are legal records and are kept for as long as ADF&G requires processors to retain them. If you delete your account, your name, email and phone are removed and your tickets are anonymised; the tickets themselves remain because the processor and the State are required to keep them.

Your choices

Children

FishTix is for licensed commercial fishermen, tender crews and processor staff. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We will post changes here and note the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app.
